Why I Created Sparknaut
Why Another Quiz?
Let's face it, personality tests are everywhere.
From MBTI to Enneagram, DiSC to astrology, we're not lacking tools that claim to tell us who we are. Many of them are insightful. Some are fun. But if you've ever walked away from one feeling both seen and stuck, you're not alone.
When I started developing Sparknaut, I wasn't trying to reinvent the wheel. I was asking a different question:
What if self-awareness wasn't about narrowing identity, but about unlocking creative rhythm?
The Problem with Fixed Personality “Types”
Why Types Can Be Limiting
Personally, I've often tested as an INFJ or INFP. These types are known for emotional depth and introspection — qualities I connect with. But what about the moments when I lead confidently, organize clearly, or strategize publicly? According to most systems, those actions don't usually align with my “type.”
- Why do we treat personality like a fixed container?
- What about the parts of ourselves that emerge in flow, under pressure, or during bursts of inspiration?
- And most importantly — how do we account for creative diversity within the same person?
Sparknaut: Built on Creative Traits, Not Static Labels
What Sparknaut Measures
Instead of sorting people into rigid identities, it helps you explore your relationship to:
- Collaboration Style — Do you thrive in solitude (Soloist) or shared energy (Co-Creator)?
- Resource Approach — Do you gather tools first (Tool Seeker) or improvise as you go (Improviser)?
- Starting Method — Do you begin with a full vision (Visioner) or just dive in (Quick-Starter)?
- Sharing Rhythm — Do you build in private (Private Polisher) or share along the way (Open Builder)?
- Creative Compass — Do you lead with gut instinct (Instinct First) or logic (Reasoner)?
- Creative Drive — Are you fueled by emotion (Heartmaker) or cultural signals (Trendweaver)?
- Energy Pattern — Do you work best in steady rituals (Routine) or in bursts (Burst)?
These traits are not boxes — they're dials. And depending on my mood, season, or project, they shift.
My Sparknaut Type: A Snapshot, Not a Sentence
- Creative Fuel (Igniter ↔ Builder)
- Discovery Style (Explorer ↔ Sage)
- Connection Mode (Weavecatcher ↔ Hermit)
What the Types Are For
- Give language to my intuitive creative behaviors
- Validate my unconventional work rhythms
- Help me build systems that support me, not some generic “productive person”
Why Now?
Like many creatives, I've experienced burnout from trying to fit myself into systems that weren't built for the way I work. I needed something more intuitive, more fluid, and more honest.
The rise of remote work, creative entrepreneurship, and neurodivergent awareness made me realize: a lot of people feel this way. Sparknaut was born from that gap: a space where creative identity can be nurtured, and remixed.
In Summary
I didn't build Sparknaut to tell you who you are.
I built it to reflect how you create, and how that might change, stretch, or ignite over time.
Whether you're a structured Builder or a spontaneous Igniter, a quiet Hermit or a connection-seeking Weavecatcher, your style deserves to be understood without being limited.
